Do you have an Etsy storefront by chance?
There wouldn't be much point in me having an Etsy storefront; I haven't sold anything paracord in nearly a decade and a half. Nowadays I'm much more inclined to make paracord goodies as gifts or "pay it forward" sort of things.

Is it safe to sell online? I hear horror stories of credit card charge backs, etc. I have a couple of obsidian arc that my brother grabbed before they 1st went out of stock. I'm within the return window, but thought I might pass them on. Not really excited to ship. I'm in colorado

I bought mine second hand but it was from the same guy I bought the regular ARC from, so my situation is a bit different :dunno:

I am sure there is always a chance for a sell to go wrong but I haven't heard much go wrong :salute:

Thanks Poncho. The online auction site seems sketchy as a seller. I've bought plenty, but sold little. PayPal is a racket too

Thank you Kev!  :salute:

Can you believe I ordered it a day or two before they were offering the free maintenance kit.  When I called Leatherman to ask if I could still qualify for it they said no, but you can send your Arc back to us and reorder to get the freebie.
So I did.  :mail:

You were lucky to get another obsidian after having sent it back. The site showed sold out before the end of December

I made sure I had the other Obsidian in hand before sending back the other.  In fact, I kept the first one they sent as it was smoother operating than the newest one.

The ARC Obsidian is back and available for purchase for us in the UK.  It's a hefty price increase over the standard ARC: £304 vs. £260.  That's just over US$380 this side of the Pond for the Obsidian so I think I'll just make do with my 'standard' one.  Besides, it looks so nice I'd be too scared to use it for fear of tarnishing that eye-catching black and champagne finish.

Still shows as unavailable on this side of the pond.

I just got a mail from Leatherman USA and it apparently went back on sale in the US at 09:00 PST (just over half an hour ago as I write this).
Good luck: I hope everyone who wants it is able to get one.

It looks like the price increase is probably due to Crucible Industries, which is the only company that produces MagnaCut, has filed for bankruptcy. They are hoping to sell at auction on February 4. LM may want to have a Plan B.

Ouch!  Maybe the price increase can be explained as the good folk at Leatherman needing to rent a truck or two, head down to Crucible and start loadin' up...

On a serious note, it's a shame to hear that for the people employed by Crucible and it does make one wonder if Leatherman might have to adapt the ARC in the near future.

Leatherman Australia offered the Obsidian Arc for the cool price of $599.95AUD (about $370USD). Limited to 190 units. Took a few days but it eventually sold out.

EDIT: Stand corrected. Still available.

 I balked at paying $275 for a Leatherman, until I did. Then I bought a second one! I’m not sold on the blade steel, yet. I thought S30V was pretty good. And I wish it had a serrated blade instead of scissors. But, I still bought two. I may have issues!
