Help me find a thread!
on: November 11, 2023, 07:54:11 PM
This is for the old timers, so I guess me as well. There was an old thread, at least 10 years ago or more. There was some SAKalikes  with frame locks. It was an old modder who has since disappeared. There were some pics to it with I think 4 knives in different colors. Please help me find this thread. Thanks
If I remember correctly, wait, what was I saying?

Sorry, Steve. Need some more details. Just with that description I didn't find any pics like you described.

Maybe these will help a little:

I’m not sure now if it was even a sak tbh. It could have been very similar and someone said that they wish it could be?
If I remember correctly, wait, what was I saying?

I don’t know how many of us are left from awhile back. This knife, as my memory recalls, did have a frame lock, not a liner lock. I think someone mentioned that they wish a sak could be like this. There was a few photos of these. I’m fairly certain it was 4 knives, identical except for different color scales. Orange, black, OD green, or maybe 3. The frame lock was either Ti or stainless. The reason I am trying to find it is to revisit this and try to make it happen.
If I remember correctly, wait, what was I saying?

Here is some talk about modders, your are there also part of conversation and few links to pages what could contain even more mods. Need to dig bit more for those mods cause that framelock farmer is awesome ( even if it doesnt contain fully Vic parts)

You don't happen to know who was behind Rowland Tool and Knife, do you?  Extensive googling turned up nothing fruitful.
My Mods: 58mm Workshop, 91mm Picnicker, CyberCompact
Some Fav's: long nail file models, vintage unusual stainless
Quirk: I like the metal file more than the wood saw

I do.. I corresponded with them outside of social media a bit. They own a professional machine shop which is / was busy and SAK was a hobby.
