Another toothpick use?
on: February 22, 2024, 11:06:50 PM
Requesting a toothpick badge.  Painting a countertop for a small side sink.  Found a brush bristle in the wet paint and needed to remove it.  What is readily available in my pocket?.  A SAK with a toothpick.  Dipped it into the paint surface, slid it under the bristle, and out it came.  The wet paint flowed right out, did not need to brush it.

Sounds legit to me.  If you pick out the bristle with a finger, it always makes a mess.  Or try to take it out with a brush.  Good job.  Best wishes.  G

My dad was a professional painter contractor and a stickler for perfection when staining, antiquing, varnish, shellac, wall papering, etc, etc

Carried a box of wooden toothpicks in his brush kit. He also, only used real hair / bristle brushes.

So, from my experience you used the correct tool for the challenge before you!  👍 :like:

Hope yours is as good!

NICE!!  I'm not sure I would've thought of that.

Congrats on the badge!

Thanks to all.  Maybe this use will get added to Felix’s repertoire.
