DAY 22

Another miserable day here in ol' blighty  ::)

I was curious to see what other MT bits worked with the DF and so dug out the ones I have that are MT only :dunno:

The LM & Vic' ones on the left fit without any issue. The LM ones on the right need the adapter (generic off Amazon as LM (UK) didn't have any at the time) and rattle about a bit so probably won't be used  :-\
They don't like it up 'em!

JonesE if you've used it before I'm sure you already know this but make sure you apply that BLO and mineral spirits in a well ventilated area. Rubbing alcohol will clean the BLO from your hands when you're done, and make sure any rags get thrown away outside in a metal can because they can spontaneously combust.

Thanks Alan, that is a great reminder. I have been putting the rags in an old metal gallon paint can. As for applying the BLO, I have been doing it in the garage. It has been about ten years since I last refinished a gun stock. I had forgotten how bad BLO smells.

Day 23

Working on getting the trim and doors repainted in my son’s room. Installed the light switch and outlet covers using the CD. I will say I really enjoy the CD dit driver. Tomorrow we should have the last of the painting done. Then it is time to clean the paint off of the floor. This was my son’s first time getting to paint his room. I think he will appreciate all the effort that went into making his room his room.

Day 24: Lashes together a dolly with the CD.  I used the cutters to cut the zip straps after putting them tight with the pliers.  The latches that came with the portable dolly don't work very well so we do this to keep it folded up for storage.

Again with the rubbish weather here so just a shot of the SD with the Deluxe Tinker for 4 layer friday.

Not too much redundancy but TBH still no real use (so far)  :dunno:

Day 24

Settling down for the evening. After work this afternoon removed all of the painters tape from my son’s room. Got a few spots to touch up tomorrow and we should be done and ready to start setting his room up.

registration plate

This is interesting to me.   We call that a license plate.  You know, like normal people do.     I looked up your state's DOT website, and they show it as a registration plate.  Which of course makes sense, since that's what you called it.  In KY, the vehicle is registered with the Department of Motor Vehicles, and you receive a document that you have to produce for the Po Po when they request it.   We get a sticker annually to place on the plate showing that the tax has been paid.  AI tells me that some states use a sticker on the windshield to prove registration or paid tax.

I guess its a coke, soda, soft drink kind of thing.   :tu:

I have the Rocktol 19-in-1, which is a pretty good MT for the money.

I used to as well PN.  Working in my field for 20 years wears off on your day to day speech

Can't remember their "names" but I've got the Wave, Surge and half a tool. Really not bad clones

The Rocktol 19-in-1 is basically the Wave clone.

I have one too.  It's not bad at all quality wise!  I prefer their bit driver to the Leatherman flat bits actually.

Yeah quality is not bad, I'm impressed. Definitely machining marks and other rough things. I've got a Nextool Captain and I think the Rocktol version is better quality. I should have a new camera mount that comes today and I'll make a video that shows the Rocktols, Nextool and SwissTech wave clone for comparison
