Going For My Axe Badge
on: January 03, 2024, 05:19:16 PM
On the farm I will chop up a fallen tree with a chainsaw or use a circular saw to cut up free pallets. Free campfire wood is great. To split the wood I will use a hatchet. Works great for having wood for campfires in the back field while tent camping.

Thank you. It is a Husqvarna scout type hatchet. It works very well. I keep a coat of boiled linseed oil on it now and then to maintain the handle.

Nice!

I've heard that the Husqvarna hatchets were made by Hultafors--and like the Oschenkoph hatchets made for Stihl; they seem much cheaper than their own-brand equivalent (to the fact that the 600g hatchet and 1 kg. axe cost less than the hatchet from the OEM).
