Old dude new to you
on: January 13, 2024, 05:27:36 PM
Welcome... no wait, you're supposed to say that to me. Ummm - hey guys, I have been lurking a little, but really not a long time. I don't really know much about knives, just kinda getting into it. I have probably started late in life, but they don't take up as much room as other stuff and my grandson likes knives so I am thinking maybe this is something him and I can also do a little bit together. Anyway, I won't be on here a gob but some touch-n-go's mostly. I have an addictive personality, so I also have a lot of other interests and one of those guys who moves around in waves - here, gone, back...  Hope to learn and hope to eventually contribute.

@D-Eg welcome aboard, glad to have you even if it's in spurts. I used to dabble in knives, but know I'm full blown addicted. I too have an addicted personality, keeps me wanting more and wanting the next hit.

Welcome!  Be forewarned... this is a dangerous place to be.  When I first came on board, I only owned a Tinker and a Classic SD.  I have since lost track of how many I have but they seem to migrate between the bedroom and the office.  You've been warned!!

I am already feeling the fever - it is very catchy. Surely ObamaCare has low deductible plan for this!

I have been. Lately I have been very busy with work stuff kicking of the new year and my FIL who is aging out (not sure if that is proper, but...) and running my wife back and forth to and from their place, which is a day's trip each way for me. My next few weeks are going to be no better for getting much disposable time. Just running full open.

I wondered what happened to you, Dan.   I figured you just got busy.  Family duties come first.  Drop in for a cup when you are in the neighborhood.  Best wishes.  Gary

Thanks Gary. Yep no other reason than just chasing my tail. Then found out today one of my best friends had a stroke last night. My buddy is in the hospital, and my wife is at her folks. My buddy is surrounded by his family so I am giving them their room and my wife's sister is at the in-laws and those two are hanging out. So I am sitting in a motel in Omaha.
