I wanted to see how the Micra was compared to the classic.....the cutting comfort was soooo much better, but the chisel grind makes it difficult to keep the cut straight.....but it is a more aggressive cut and made short work of everything.

I may regrind the edge to a double bevel???

Still considering this challenge.

It would be a difficult one for me given that I can't use it at work so it would be limited to days off etc.

I'm in! The Micra was the first Leatherman I ever bought. I carried it for a long time until I tried to mod it and messed up the Chicago screws. I managed to fix it with the Loki wrenches, but I've not carried it in a long time. I can replace the Fiskars scissors and Manager from my keys for the Micra. This is gonna be fun! :salute:

Apologies for not keeping up the posts, fractured my wrist which has messed me up.....

Anyway, more ideas for using the Micra....today a Trollen Wheel template (I will be making this out of wood). The final product will be part of the many presents for my soon to be 7 year old girl.

Trying to decide if I can forgo the huntsman for a whole month.... I don't know if I've ever carried ONLY a knife this small except maybe on a backpacking trip.

Just a few more days and the challenge starts.

For anyone new, the idea is that the Micra is to be carried every day for 30 days, on each day you are to provide a post with a picture of the Micra (ideally being used), and if you have time (particularly if there is something interesting going on) a short bit of text.

Now I am not asking this to be your only tool, but in light of the challenge, the Micra should be a first consideration for any suitable task.

...some simple gardening to start, but I am just about to start a complete home build this month....so fun times ahead.

Nice picture, the Micra in its trusted position. Completely understand about not wanting to fly with her.  Catch up pictures with one post for each day is fine.

So May is finally here and the start of the Leatherman Micra challenge....

It's been a busy few months leading up to the start of my home build, and still have loads of stuff to donate, throw and store....one of the first tasks after the rooms are cleared is to put the floor insulation down....Micra in hand to attack the 4 metre high pile

The file and fingernail cleaner tip are so handy. I think the only other tool I have with that tool is a Squirt.

After a week off work, I’m back for 12 consecutive night shifts.

Used the Micra to open a beer this morning to celebrate making it through the first three nights without losing my sanity.
