EDC Flashlight Streamlight
on: January 25, 2024, 05:01:23 PM
I carry the Streamlight Polytac X and have been for a couple years.  I love the fact that I can use rechargeable 18650 batteries and it's a heck of a lot cheaper than something that takes cr123 batteries.
Let's see your EDC Flashlight.

I like to carry a small light and a light with a little more oomph.  The RovyVon A5 is always with me.  The S1R is one I grab among others for the extra power.

I carry a Streamlight also,  just a way different one,,, the Nano.
Don't have much call to use it regularly, just walking from the house to car and back if needed.  Bright enough to show the way.  Only on my second set of batteries.

I had one of those Streamlight Nanos years ago.  Same as you, used it every once in a while.  One day, went to grab the keys and half the flashlight was missing.  I guess it had unscrewed itself at some point.

That RovyVon is interesting.  How long have you had it?

Since mid 2021.  Its been a great light.  I enjoy having it on me and its powerful enough to be an only light IMO.  I particularly like the blinking red led and that I can use it as a headlamp very comfortably.

I thought of that and put a layer of Teflon tape around the threads.  Seems to be working well as the cap is still tight.

I knew Catherine had a Nano, we both did.  She still has hers,  I gifted mine.  She keep hers in a work tool pack.  Every now and again just a little illumination is all thats needed.

Is that MicroStream the rechargeable one or the one that takes AAA's?

Just the plain AAA model - I get free batteries at work :tu:
