Day 29
Oh!!!
FB’s use today sparked an idea in my feeble brain😜

I was preparing supper about the time I read her post and use, and thought I think I can use the belt cutter to help prepare my desert…

[ Quoting of attachment images from other messages is not allowed ]

So I pulled a CaraCara orange from fridge.   Normally I cut  in 1/8s and open wide and bite the juicy flesh from the skin.  Or, I use my orange peeler on the Vagabond and slice the skin, and peel away the skin sections.
So I tried the same function as the Vagabond’’s  implement but with the belt cutter.

And to my surprise😜🙄🤪☺️ it worked, it really worked.
I thought yes it should cut the outer skin, but it is going to mangle the juicy orange flesh.  Nope it did slice the skin and no not a divot of flesh was exposed or juice lost.

Stitchy's OHT challenge summary:

Thanks Rich for hosting the OHT challenge It was a great idea  :tu:

And a big cheers to everyone for making it soo much fun

I had used the OHT a little before the challenge (got it 2 month before). But not a full month exclusively.
I have to say, the month went by like a breeze. I did not have a problem with any implement being too short. I actually like it's size in my hands too. The pliers are a different design compared to your usual Leatherman. They are beefy but also worked for delecate jobs for me. Combined with the bit extender kit it served me well. I did miss my Surge a few times for it's scissors or file. But otherwise I'm really happy with it  :like:

Congratulations to all the participants, as you made a quite interesting and fun challenge. Thank you for allowing me to see the capabilities of what is such a great tool. Thank you also for previewing a couple of "unorthodox" applications such as  the gut hook used as an orange peeler! And kudos to all the badge winners!!! :tu:

Hello Team
Again my humble apologies for not completing my challenge . Again there was some travel and IT issues and a bunch of really busy chucked in.
I did carry the OHT every day and did not resort to any other tool for the month.

There were some great pics from the rest of the team.

I think the OHT is a neat tool and a really clever design but would not make it my EDC of choice.  I got my first Wave in 98 and for many years it was my only tool apart from a Micra so I guess we are bit like an old married couple not wanting too much change.  The OG Wave was signed by Himself on his last NZ tour and the tool has since been retired to the display case.

The last pic is the rotation crew on my desk who will now all get some game time.

I promise to do better in my next challenge. I see the MIcra challenge is on the horizon and I have few of those so will join that challenge.

Thanks again for the great pics.
