Did Leatherman specifically design this to look like a Crocodile?  I never did find out.
I can’t speak to the Crocodile look, but here are early concept renderings from my Leap ebook.

I must admit, your team has spark and interest in this nifty tool, and a search revealed several options for purchase on the auction site.

You my surprise, NOS listings include a Knife blade option. If I read correctly this can be added at later time a child’s supervisor feels they are ready for the Sharp option.
Does this blade then get exchanged with the saw blade?

The other item I noticed is very few listings show the implements deployed, would this because they list the blade?

How are your models fitted for implements?

TIA😎

Official tool set.  Knife blade slot is empty then gets added when the kid is ready.

Thank you.  After writing the PST book, I wanted to do this one to see how much could be documented on one tool.  The PST book hasn’t sold out yet from the 100 copies available so I knew going into it, a Leap book wouldn’t sell.  Clearly a passion project and it will be a free ebook when completed.

Day 2
Early spring according to Punxsutawney Phil!

Letter E for the mini challenge is Elephant.  Elephants hold a special place in my heart as I rode one in Thailand then bathed her in the River Kwai.  She held onto me by wrapping her ears around my legs as I scrubbed her.

I used the knife blade to cut up 3 boxes.

Even though the cutting edge is only 2 1/16th", it is a very capable blade. It takes a great edge and is a well-designed blade . It zipped right through the  cardboard.

I included a couple of pictures for size comparison to other blades.
