Flame On! - April Firestarting Challenge

Let's turn on the heat, and carry a fire-starting item for 30 days. Lighters, matches, ferro rods, fire pistons, Signal, candles, sparkers, tinder, stoves, bowdrill sets. No edc kit is complete without a fiery thing.


Rules
1. Carry a fire-starting piece of gear (or several) for 30 days.
2. Every day, post a picture of it.
3. Comments on techniques, tricks, reason of preference, etc, are encouraged.
4. You may carry a different item every day, or stick to one item. Up to you.
5. If it creates embers or sparks, or catches sparks, or ignites, it counts.
6. It does not count if it burns when you pee.
7. Obey your local laws, and be responsible with flammable materials and flames.

    This could be an interesting challenge.  I like the people who have signed on.  Might have to think about joining a little more first.  It seems like this might turn into a Zippo exhibition.  Of course I don't smoke and don't own or carry a Zippo.  It could get boring for everyone to see my daily photo of a book of paper matches.  Best wishes.  G

I doubt anyone will hold it against you. :)
You can carry one item for the whole month, that's how most challenges work anyway. I usually stick to one tool even if the challenge allows for rotating tools. Some people have rotating edc gear, others stick to a few staples. Carrying a single item is allowed, and I'd hate to see members hesitant to join just because they'd be carrying the same tool for a month.
And would a Zippo exhibition challenge be so bad? Zippo lighters are classic, fidgety and useful edc items. And photogenic too. As are matches. :D
If you feel like joining, with whatever fire-starting gear, you are welcomed to do so. We've got plenty of time until this starts. :cheers:
