Comis, thank you for the information on IMCO lighters, it is very helpful.  I have posted pics of two Imco lighters, I have a third one that has the "come of" on it, yeah that is a big giveaway.  I bought it anyway, it was a good price.   :tu:    :hatsoff:

Day 15

These 2 are almost out of fluid.  Going to make strikers out of them like ReamerPunch.

I'm looking forward to what you make!

Day 19

It's been raining for the last couple of days, wish I get to go out at some point and play with my toys.  I grew to appreciate the classic Doan magnesium bar when everything is wet and the ferro rod alone won't lit anything.

DAY 19  A small box kit with strike on box matches.   Matches do not inspire confidence, because I read this story on school:

🔥DAY 19🔥

well the dunhill rollagas started leaking butane and went empty fast so it's officially out of commission until i can have it serviced. and then the flint in the zippo ran out and it turns out the dunhill flints are too wide to fit the zippo  :twak: i tried to throw a spark from the dunhill to the zippo but was not successful. i'm think the fuel was too low.

luckily had a pack of matches in my pack to light the rocket stove to make tea and food. (no picture bic don't awlways bring my phone with me when i'm out exploring) that's why i awlways carry a backup for the backup  :drink:

Day 20

Finally, I was able to locate this clipper lighter with removable flint wheel and refillable butane chassis.  Even clipper is not the most expensive lighter, they too have upgraded to windproof version(without the traditional flint wheel).

Awesome challenge all.  I love all the different items being used.

I really wanted to participate but life had other ideas.

I did finally get to do an outdoor coffee.  The fire starter was just a boring match, which there is no evidence of now.
