Other tools in bit holders
on: March 04, 2024, 07:34:36 PM
I've got a fair number of small multitools with bit drivers, and I was thinking how it'd be cool if anyone made tools other than screwdriver bits to fit in them. A small awl, a pen, a glassbreaker... seems like the kind of thing that someone must've thought of, but I haven't seen any. Am I just lousy at Google, or is there a reason they're impractical?

There are definitely commercial ones out there, though I haven't kept track of the manufacturers. I think the MaxLvlEDC youtube channel and HvacBudget both covered some Leatherman accessories like that recently.

I personally modified a long bit into an awl (a long mean one at that), 3D printed a small 1/4" to 4mm bit adapter that sits in my LM extender and I have another bit with a compressed graphite tip on it that turns my extender and bit adapter into a pencil.
