We have, in the past, had issues with scammers and spammers registering here and immediately sending members messages with offers and links and all manner of other harassment.  Our response was that all members should have at least five posts in the open, which should help us weed out these fake accounts before they cause problems. 

But, as stated above, now that you have five posts on the forum, you should be in the clear.
