That's a good looking EDC setup there Heywood.  Sharp looking Breitling.

That's a good looking EDC setup there Heywood.  Sharp looking Breitling.
Thanks AC.
That Breitling I bought way back when the analog digital concept all off one crown was brand spanking new. So, I’ve a long history with it. The current versions from Breitling are bigger and thicker but this 40mm dia size works for me. Mine recently came back from Breitling after a complete restoration which included new movement and hands from a later model. The original movements are no longer available and typically fail being at end of life. It was never in poor condition but after a spa and refurb it’s effectively back to brand new. They even restored the Ti band which came with an extra link, sweet.
The earlier pic is just before the refurb and following just after. One can tell it has a newer movement as the hands have a slightly different tail.
Overall it’s been a fantastic watch with just the right number of complications in a nice Titanium alloy case. It’s a great light all round sports, formal or travel watch. Even though this model says 100m WR on the case back it doesn’t have typical dive watch seals so take this with a grain of salt.
Over the years its weak moments have seen four movements in the case. First mia culpa leaving it too long and battery leaked, second fail was a warranty changeout and last got screwed by father time. Now, as mentioned it’s been restomodded in house.
If the acid test is would I buy it again in retrospect, then the answer is for sure even if a couple of the tickets along the way cost extra.
Incidentally the Breitling restomod cost a fraction of a new version as I thought the deal was only going to be a movement and hand job. But at the end of the day it was absolutely everything including as mentioned the band but also a full case and bezel refinishing.
The new movement is a bit more accurate and chronograph mode has a second extra function.

Thanks for the great pics P65.
I've really like my ~ 1/3 Custom Leatherman Charge TTi which is probably similar to yours.
Cheers …

Well the watch is new to me, but it is now my daily, but maybe not at work, not sure just yet. The knife and flashlight have been carried a long time though.

Wow that Parker is a throwback!! I had one similar back in the early 80s. I think it's in storage somewhere so will have to try digging it up.

Boy, I am starting to feel a bit underdressed - I am going to have to rethink my daily gear. I mean I carry a Pentel Click mechanical pencil about $2.00 each.

Nothing wrong with that. Here's my Hotel twist ballpoint freebie … that ended up being used to the empty end.

Nice, I was going to go with one of those keychain splits, or the ufo/mothership ones, and adding a carabiner. But I ended up getting a carabiner with one already built in,
