Classic and coffee. I’ve been dosing intermittent fasting for a while now, so my morning coffee is always black to avoid caloric intake. Today, since I’m off work I’m having some afternoon coffee with a little treat - some whole milk and collagen powder added. Almost like dessert.

The collagen doesn’t add flavor, but it’s a good source of protein and is supposed to help with cartilage and joint health. I have neck issues (bone spurs and degenerating disks) plus arthritis in my knees and this is supposed to help with that. But, it has calories and would break a fast, so I usually can’t have it in my coffee

My wife adds a scoop of collagen to her coffee every morning. With cream and sugar like she drinks it, the collagen is unnoticeable. With black coffee like I drink it does change it a bit. It's more in the mouth feel than the taste I think, but something is a little off to me. Definitely good for aging bodies like ours though.
