Just a week till the challenge kicks off. There's still time to get your favorite Delémonts ready for a ton of fun!

Might as well jog this thread back up to the top of the pile again.  Sunday is the start for the Delemont Challenge, in case anyone might have missed it.  Rules are on the first page.
I have been trying to work out a little with my challenge entry.  One. Two.  One.  Two.  Lift and breathe.  Take a little sit down before doing another rep.  Whew!  Don't want to accidentally pull something.
There is still plenty of room for late entries.  What else are you going to do?  Best wishes.  Gary (IMR)

I may have to bow out of this one. My S101 is packed up in our storage unit. If I can find it in time, I'll join in. I hate moving

Day 1 - Ranger 101

My first challenge in a while so had to be the Delemont :like:

As its creator and badge designer (humble brag, sorry but gotta take it where you can :twak: ), I know this is only the second time it’s been held

Many thanks to Dan (FarmerX) for getting it happening again :hatsoff: I’d been meaning to but…life etc

Poor old Coco is just about hanging in there, she’s now 14. I nearly lost her recently and know it’s getting close but here she is appearing in my first pic as per tradition

Day 1
Delemont Challenge

I could probably figure out how to put in the correct diacritic in Delemont, but why bother?  I started to carry a battered old Wenger Handyman but thought back on how much fun it was to carry the Vic Classic by itself.  So, I made a decision to carry an Esquire instead.  One knife, all month.  At least that's the plan.  Subject to change, due to availability, natural causes, and possible onset of extreme boredom.
Here is my 65mm entry.  Tied to a beltloop with a shoestring.  And a wee pink paperclip.  When I thought I had lost it, I located a green one but it wasn't the same.  Green paperclip, not Esquire.
It was good to see one more Coco photo.  What a lucky dog owner.  Best wishes.  Gary (IMR)

Day 1

Go big or go home.

Wenger (new) Ranger 152

Visually I like everything about this knife - the scales, the shape of the blade, the serration.

From user perspective, I am not huge fan of the serrated blade and it would be great to add some kind of combo tool (like a giant Bantam) to increase the utility but it is still great, sturdy, simple knife that sits great in the hand (I believe the fact that it is just single layer adds to the ergonomics).

What is interesting, the measured length of 130mm includes the keyring nub.

All the best to you all!!

While I'm not officially participating in this challenge (I have only one Wenger), I'll be following along with keen interest. I'm curious to see all the Delmonte models and will be a somewhat silent spectator from the sidelines.

Day 1

I have 4 that are part of my tween bunch!

These will be in my rotation this month, and I will search my box to inspect if I have any more with DELEMONT inscribed on the blade.

Oh yes, I was thinking of posting a picture of the ONE I have, however it was not handy being a safe drawer queen.

I'll honor the MTO way and post the One picture sometime during this challenge!

On joining the challenge, I don't think I'll be able to contribute much with just one. It might not be enough for an entire month!

If you don't want to play along, that's up to you.  However, I am only going to carry one 65mm for the month.  That's the plan for now anyway.  I do have other Wengers.  I did the MiniChamp challenge with only one SAK, and had a lot of fun doing it.  Only one knife the whole month for Country of Origin as well.
I have my red Esquire in my pocket right now.  That will be the protocol.  Pants on.  Wenger.  30 days.  Best wishes.  G

I'm in a hurry to post before the phone has so little battery juice that it won't fire off the backlight (what else is new?). Fantastic stuff from awl, and great to see Coco! :tu:

Day 1

Those who participated in the first Delémont challenge will recall that this Evolution 23, gifted to me by Mrs. FX, was my primary carrier. It will remain so in this challenge.

Day 2 - Forester

Off to a great start awl :like:

I’ve put away the Huntsman I normally have on the table and will be keeping its cousin the Forester nearby instead. One of my fave models, have always found the nail file/cleaner useful

Day 1

This Traveler will be my pain carry for the month. Out of my 85s it's in the best shape, and it'd be silly to carry one of my Soldats/SIs for a Wenger challenge, since they're actually Vic designs.

Bottle opener popped a beer, and the can opener opened some "Pickle de Gallo". With the nail file and less sharp awl, I expect the can opener will get a lot of uses like this. The claw is nice.

Day 1

I have several Esquires in my collection so I carried the black one today.  Used it to cut serranos from several of my plants today.  The scales could use a nice polish but beyond that, it's still ready for action even though the previous owner did the blade a disservice.

Day 2

Did some downsizing with my rotary tool accessory kit. It was in a terrible, cheap box which is massive. Now everything is is a nice, cardboard box, one third the size.
