Day 2:

Using my old Pioneer X that I have modded.  This tool goes thru several variations. Haha

Sometimes I remove the blade and awl, and just use it with openers and scissors. Usually do that then carry with a dedicated knife.

Today, it is helping open up the head on my Dyson vacuum, to do some cleaning.

Cool mod! I’ve considered many times modifying the can opener as you have done. Just haven’t been able to pull the trigger yet.

Day 2:

I’ve been working outside today, trimming branches and bushes in the yard. A small stick got sucked into the inner workings of my mini-chainsaw, so I had to use the awl to pry it out of the compartment.

Back in December I picked up a similar small chainsaw, a 12”, 20V dewalt. It has been surprisingly handy for small jobs and beats getting out the large gas-powered saw for many jobs. I run into that same issue of getting things caught in cover.

I did this one myself. I had Tim Simco mod my Farmer X and had him do the same to its can opener. He did a better job. Haha

Replaced the saw with a file. I’ll be using it next probably.

Y'awl are hard to keep up with. That's a sign that the challenge is fantastic! :tu:

Day 2

Blue is the Alox color least represented in my collection. Here's an example of smooth blue Alox.

I intended that this one would be a carrier, but I'm increasingly hesitant to carry anything discontinued or limited.

Hopefully the photo will show clearly enough that the prop is a steel penny. Another benefit to the props: they'll show that the photos aren't archival. :)

I used the awl to scrape some of the gunk of a medical patch off my side. I figured I'd save you guys the horror of seeing that. So here I am 'sharpening a pencil'.

That is a sweet blue.  I love both blue and green alox.

SMKW is dangerous for my wallet, especially if I look at their exclusives section.

The bantam is the most carried (fits in the wallet very nicely.... recently got kicked out by the classic....

...the farmer X is the most useful, and the one I would choose if I was rushing out of the house and needed a UK legal edc

Forgot to clip my nails before heading to work this morning.  My 58mm blue alox spydernox saved the day.  No nails, didn't want to gross yall out, but there is some nail dust there. 🤮
