Day 04

Let me present Duke Nukem of Edinburgh.

Does it really need to have 2 pairs of scissors? Nope. But it's really cool. Awlmost perfect. There is just a fish scaler missing.

Some days I EDC this one as a substitute for a CT L.

that's my daily backpack too. It's a great size. The 12 is a tad small and the 72 is a monster.

Lots of good mix n match equipment posts today.  I might as well say this is my first year of posting here today.  Lots of fun.  I have met many nice people.  It has been a privilege.  Best wishes to all for a good year.
As a reminder.  Tomorrow is the first of the mini challenges.  Post something old, something, new, something borrowed and something blue.   G

Day 4
Happy Independence Day  :woohoo:

Thought I'd keep the Red White & Blue theme going with a SAK ? , a switchblade, and a Skipper

Edit:
Now i'm feeling super embarrassed because I forgot the model name for the red nylon scaled SAK and I'm at work so I can't check it

Day 4

Us, we're celebrating with a can of what I understand is essentially SpaghettiOs... and the SAK,  which came all the way from Maine via a good friend in Detroit, which opened it for me:

While I can use the Victorinox openers I've gotta say that I do prefer Wengers.  Has to be from all the old openers I used as a kid.

Day 4

Someone at camp needed pliers. Not knowing what for or exactly what size, I decided the Dual Force was the most flexible option. He apparently was having trouble opening a propane tank, and said it worked great.

For clarification, is tomorrow just the something old or the entire bridal set?

It is my understanding that we should post the whole set.

Day 5: as I don't own a blue scaled knife or multitool, I brought a different EDC item of mine. Borrowed the colorful Climber from my wife (just for the picture  ;) ). The old thing is obviously the 1939 Swiss Soldier knife, made by Wenger. The SwissChamp is one of the newest knives in my collection. (Mostly got old Soldiers recently)

I hope some of you got a little sleep and woke up without an aching head.  Today is my version of the MTO Follow the Leader game.  Old, new, borrowed, blue.  Yes, all in the same post.
[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]
    Old Thermos ice chest.
    New Sword.
    Borrowed Dad's old SAK.
    Blue Bic.
Several of you got the old part, and planned on posting the other things another time maybe?  We did get some nice old things posted.  Very interesting.  There is still lots of daylight left to post the other items for the challenge if that is what you wish.  Tomorrow will be business as usual, of course.  Best wishes.  G

I suppose most already know this.  The something old, new, borrowed, blue is what a bride carries with her on her wedding day.  Hopefully the something old isn't the groom, unless he has lots of money.  If he is old and poor, maybe that would make the bride blue?  Maybe not.
Friend powernoodle will tell everyone what he requires as he takes over the MTO Follow the Leader Game for Day 10.  It is my understanding that he has appointed someone to take over for the Day 15 challenge.
