DaveK
on: February 12, 2009, 02:00:48 PM
Today I went to the post office to pick up a package from DaveK (his part of a trade we did).
I also pick up a light box I order so I had to check the light box and here are the results:
The red farmer I got:

The red farmer with an amazing lanyard DaveK made:

My old SwissChamp with new lanyard DaveK made for it:

(I need to get better lamps but that was my first attempt to use the light box)

The pictures says it all :D Thank you DaveK - I love the work you did with the lanyards and hope to deal with you in the future.

My pleasure ninjaz :tu:

I'm quite relieved that you liked the "skull" lanyard, it was a bit of an experiment and I wasn't sure if you'd like it at all, so I'm delighted too!

I used to come here a lot.

'twas only a matter of time until my "Knitter" logo was to be handed down to a more capable and worthy member.

As such I hereby resign as knitter and pass on all benefits and trappings of this trade to my superior.  :salute:

Well done Dave...lovely work.

:D

That lanyard with the skulls came about because I'd bought some skull beads, hoping that I could drill them a bit, but they were much smaller htan I'd imagined when they arrived. The above is the result of trying to find a way to use them. It's not going to be very robust, but fine for cool SAK pics  8)

It goes nicely with that Farmer too - result :tu:

Since when did multitool.org turn into the Knitter Natter Club  ::)  :D

On a technical note that image isn't stored anywhere known/safe.  So whoever is responsible may wish to change it to point here instead... http://i303.photobucket.com/albums/nn153/NKB_Pocket_Tools/smileys/sockknit.gif

I now have to confess that since buying some paracord for the meet-up I've been teaching myself to do some lanyard stuff.  It can get very addictive.  :-[

It can. You'll know when to stop when all of your possessions have a lanyard, including the cat.

I know I spend much time ribbing Dave but I would like to put my serious hat on for half a second to thank him for letting Dennis and I use him as a mule for our last swap and for the SAK that he sent over.

Now I just need to find him something interesting in trade.  Not sure what yet but I'll have a really good rummage through my box of broken Classics ;)
