There was an apple that had to be eaten
today. My Morakniv Garberg got the call to cut it.
As you can see below, the Mora is more than capable of cutting the apple. But the cuts were a little rough. I don't know if that's due to the blade thickness, the Scandi grind, the user's poor technique, or something else altogether. The job was ultimately finished with an Alox Victorinox Bantam.
While the Garberg would be a good choice for such things as feather-sticking and batoning, I'd supplement it with another knife to use for food prep. I'm glad I gave it the Apple Test at home, rather than out in the bush.
