I carry this everyday along with the small pocket knife.
I removed both blades and the awl as not wanting to fall foul of the law. I left the saw hoping that only an absolute jobsworth would arrest me over that.

I like that setup Chip!  That's a great EDC combination.  I've found the SOG saw is a good one.  I used mine to cut PVC awhile back, with no issues.  I can't imagine anyone giving you grief for having a daw.  In fact, every bladeless multitool I've seen comes with one.

Thanks, I put it together a long time ago and then did not carry it for years as it required me to carry a knife also. So for a long time carried either my leatherman c2 or cs4. But now the fact I have to carry a knife with it is the very reason I carry it.

I find, especially with SOG, that carrying a separate knife is the best way to go.  I don't have a Paratool yet, but I'm on my second Powerlock and it's a great deal easier getting a blade out from a knife than it is the Powerlock.  Do you belt sheath carry it or pocket carry?

In this pouch in my front right pocket. This pouch is new,  I used to keep it in a double nylon leatherman pouch that came with a freestyle/torch combo that I cut a small hole in the flap for the eyelet to stick out.

I like that!  One last question: is the saw on your Paratool the same as the Powerlock saw?  I'd love to have one with a saw.  It would definitely be more handy than the Powerlock, especially in Summer.

I think it is just a standard power lock saw. I don’t think any of the parts I fitted were paratool specific. I just bought a load of sog parts at the time from an online retailer as they were readily available, I don’t know if that’s still the case.

If you notice the silver swirl about an inch back from the plier head on the inside of the front face of the handle, that is where I caught it with my dremel stone while grinding the inside side of the handle down a mm or two to allow the saw to pass as it was a tiny bit too long.
I did not mind doing this at the time as I had a couple of paratools and I think they were still in production as I bought it new at the time.

I’m glad I did as It suits me and I would not use it otherwise.

Fitted some new tools to my new to me paratool.







As a Leatherman guy I love how they dug their own hole design wise, even if it's a tad awkward. Still a quality tool tho!

Good job. another reason I love the paratool is that I don’t have to worry about damaging any individual tools because if so replacing them is very straight forward and not beyond my skill set..

It’s not fancy, the tools clump and it requires more actions than a rubik cube to deploy. But it’s compact, works well and as said above if I had to use any individual tool to destruction to get a job done. I could fix it myself.

Truly, the paratool is the most underrated and misunderstood tool. I brought out the planes, ground everything in and it became so pleasant to use that it replaced all other tools, always at hand.

It has been 2 months now since I started to carry this during weekends and, I kind of like it! It is quite compact, light, has useful (to me) implements, a nice needlenose tip, and quite easy to modify. Sure it is more for light to medium duty, somewhat awkward to open (and more so to close), quite "funky" and somewhat ol' skool; non locking  everything and can bite you while closing it but, it works and it does it well. In fact, it is one-of-now-five Paratools I have! :facepalm: :like:

And here they are; from left to right: an early, pat. pend. with bolt on lanyard and saw; an Eddie Bawer edition; latter production, black oxide (note the clipped blade tips on both the plain and serrated edge ones); mid production, and my custom mid production.(I guess I do like them ...  :D)
