How hot and how much of that heat? What are you going to use it for?

For a handy, portable and fairly flexible general purpose heater I have two ESAB Turbo Torches. Unless open flame is an issue for application these gas based ones works quite well. (There are smaller and bigger solutions on gas too - worth considering?)

I have a Ryobi 18/20V heat gun.  It works fine, but creating a lot of heat uses up battery power quite quickly, so it is more suited to short jobs rather than longer duration heating tasks.  The thing to remember is that Ryobi make a lot of different tools that run on the same 18/20V batteries.
