Axe Badge Request
on: January 28, 2026, 09:45:20 PM
Dear mods, please find attached my axe in use — goofy axe face and all. I didn't know how to upload a video so I just took screenshots from the video and then a photo of the axe in question on its own. I love this axe so much. I actually think it works better than my 4.5# Forester. The axe is a grossly overweight 4.5# Hytest Craftsman that weighs in at 4lb 13oz... I hope this fulfils the requirements!

Nice axe.  Any Hittite would have been proud to own it.  Best wishes.  G

Haha, thanks Gary! Funny, sometimes I wish I could own one of their axes — I'd be able to pay off a mortgage or two!

I hope you remembered how to apply for a badge.  It took me several times before I got halfway competent at it.  If you have a Pioneer, Soldier, or something of the sort you can join in on the Soldier On challenge beginning Jan 31.  An individual can try for a 30 day badge (me) or go for the whole 90 day badge.  Rules are in the SAK boards.  Best wishes.  Gary

You know what, I'd completely forgotten that I have to request it but figured it out thanks to your reminder. I like that idea for the Soldier badge; I finally managed to find a birth year Soldier.
