While the wife and my youngest daughter went out black Friday shopping, today, I spent a couple hours making another block camera.  Picked it up off of the Temu and it came in earlier in the week.

Still only done bag 1 of 3. Busy with a lot of snow shoveling and building the Iconic Arcade unit and populating it with ROMs.

Bags.  That camera kit came with 7 bags, none of which were numbered.  Just dumped them all out on a towel and sorted them by color.

Anyone following the Lego thread, also, knows that the wife bought a Lego Nutcracker kit.  Well, she also bought a Lego compatible Rudolph the Rednosed Reindeer.  Enjoy.

I've been ordering some Lord of the Rings Alt-Lego pieces, few dozen orcs which are very nice and these:

my Cave Troll & Goblin KIng:

and here are the actual Lego figures:

the ones I ordered cost:
CaveTroll $4.06 (I got x2)
GoblinKing $6.33 and I had to pay a few dollars shipping (like 3 bucks)

to buy from Bricklink (real lego) the CaveTroll used with flaws cheapest I found is $50 USD plus shipping which can be as much as 20 dollars (I know I've ordered from them)
and for new/sealed is $85 USD (lowest I found and it goes up)

the Lego Goblin King used/flawed $25 and new/sealed starting at $40

can you see a difference? I have them in hand and they seem fine. the Alt non-lego ones are shinny, the Lego ones seem mat finish. coloring and fit is good. I likem  :D

My wife made a Walmart run today and brought me this brickcraft mistletoe kit.
I told her that I'm gonna leave it up all year so I can get unlimited kisses.

some Orcs I got from AliExpress  (for my Lord of the Rings sets)

8 figures per set, I got 3 sets of these for $7.57 each set. Excellent details and fit, a little tight putting the hands on the arms but no big deal (small kids couldn't do it).

these will go good on my Barad-dûr or Battle of the Black Gate sets  ;)

My oldest granddaughter had something that she called her "crabby dance" where she'd sidle back and forth with her hands overhead making pincers, like crab claws.  So, it was a given that when I saw this little set, on the AliExpress, I had to get one.

I thought I lost a piece and tore my living room apart looking for it. When I could not find it, I put it aside for a later date. That later date was a few months long. I got tired of looking at the incomplete model and decided that I should proceed to completion. When I started, I soon realized that I did not lose a piece, and all was accounted for. Go figure.

I thought that this would be a cute Valentine's Day present for the Boss Lady.
Nano block build.
Instructions are terrible and the piece is kinda unstable until you get up a few levels on it.
I had to take it apart 3 times because it wasn't working out.
It's still not finished because I didn't want to have to try for 4 rebuilds.  Perhaps I'll have a go again later.

That does look challenging.

Just got this set in yesterday delivered to my door. Iowa class USS Missouri battleship.

Front and back of the instruction book.

2228 pieces and 83cm long, this should make a very nice display piece when done. I bought it off of TEMU and of course it came with no box. It saves me the hassle of throwing it away, but always leaves me wondering if I got all of the pieces.
20250217_025336A by Chako, on Flickr

Started with the bow as per instructions. My last set was techniques (that blue porsche), and this one is brick style lol.

I was surprised it came with a set of 4 sailor mini figures.

Currently working on bag 3 of 7 and have most of the first 3/4 of the hull completed.

If I have room, I my add the Bismarck for a later build.

Thanks guys, Just got it finished. This was a fun build as I can't seem to follow the little pictures very well. I made 3 mistakes that I had to backtrack to fix. I figured the instructions were at fault, but nope, it was all me lol.

Here are some more photos.

I noticed another battleship in the series and decided that building the first one was so much fun, that I bought the Bismarck model. It came in a week ago but decided to wait to build in on the Easter weekend, which is now. I think I will start it either later today or tomorrow.

Got a box this time.
20250414_065647A by Chako, on Flickr

The stick20250414_065737A by Chako, on Flickrer sheet is much larger for this model compared to the last.

There are 7 bags marked as such inside of the larger bag. Included are 4 mini figures much like the first model.
20250414_065835A by Chako, on Flickr

This is going to be another big battleship with a little over 2000 pieces. It will be 75 cm long and I hope it will fit right next to my other model on top of the arcade unit.
20250414_070140A by Chako, on Flickr

Much like the USS Missouri, there are wheels that rotate the propellers as you roll it along a flat surface.
