scissors repair
on: October 27, 2024, 07:12:56 PM
Hello everyone!

I got a broken leatherman scissors as a bonus along with the spare parts for the leatherman. I took a shelf for the server, sawed off all the unnecessary parts and soldered them. It took an hour and a half, all you need is a dremel, sandpaper, a soldering iron, tin (I couldn't find pure tin, so I used POS90, i.e. 90% tin and 10% lead) and 75% orthophosphoric acid as a flux. It solders easily, holds firmly, and it's nice that the scissors will still work. Of course, you'll say: "madfishcat, jesus! Buy new scissors and don't bother!", but that's not interesting. :)
The work is not neat, I didn't believe until the very end that it would work, but it did.
