Harley, why don't you go to the break room and sign up to be the next recipient of the Sos Surprise Box.  There might be another sod buster in there.  You never know what you're going to find.

A traditional with modern steel?!?

Started this MT thing as a Spyderco lover so this is right up my proverbial alley.

Reviving Spartan’s thread.  The love 💕 for the SOD BUSTER has always been part of me, the drop point, the two sizes, the variants from other makers and names across the board describing this single blade versatile slipjoint is a broad spectrum of materials and colors.

Nice set Gordon.  I like the blue especially. Ive posted my Moore Maker many times but seeing as I carry it almost everyday it makes sense. It is so light weight and useful. Here it is again, starting to get a real nice patina from all the apples and gardening.

Here is my stainless 3137. It's a great user. Think I found this one at work in an old desk.

I don't think I've seen a 3137 with the blade etch (it's much more common on a 2137). Too cool! :like:

Great find.
I have only seen the branded blades on Black Synthetic Jr models. Your Yellow must be an older built.

I do not see any dots, the Case XX with tail and USA  underneath twas used 1993 through 1999.  No dots would be a 99?

I'm surprised to see that it's held together with screws instead of pins. And the laminate looks pretty good!

The CROSSROADS is to be a new series, built with modern methods and varied materials.
I am aware of three other Sod Busters, and have a Micarata model on preorder.
This one came from Deadwood, and SMKW just announced their exclusive a Green wood with Orange.

Other models expected in 2025 have been discussed.

But, I am a fan of the Sod Buster. I also like the S35VN steel characteristics over S30V and even Magnacut.

Plus the price is reasonable considering the steel. $70

S35VN usually starts at $100 and climbs higher.
