Here's mine that has seen lots of use and is testing my 3D printed scales.  I still need to work on a better fitment of the scales.  The file is dark from being used to strike against a ferro rod.

   Those scales look just fine.  I like the color.  Know what might look good?  Instead of a copy of the Vic metal inlay, a simple "Old Cross" style emblem.  If it were fairly deep, it would be easy to fill the cross in with some color.  Maybe even something as simple as paint.  Even an old cross that is a hole in the scales might work.
