I'm in.

I have been wanting to get the new LST and LST Mini (plus the US-built LST Ultra) in a store, but so far, it seems only Auto Zone sells them--however, my store doesn't have them  yet. The others are a long drive from me. Yet, I discovered that most Auto Zone stores have a pretty nice selection of the cheaper Gerbers.

If I do drive to the one that actually has them, I'm also picking up the Armbar Mini Bladeless (as well as a Dime) while I'm there.

Also, the combo of LST+ bit driver keychain is a quite good deal in my opinion. Not only is it a couple bucks cheaper than just the LST from most online knife places, the keychain driver is $15 on its own--so, it's almost half-price the two on their own.

Hey, Barry. What are the rules for participation here? The closest I have to keychain pliers tools are bladeless M2 and M3 SeberTools. Be tough using those solo for a month.  :(

Use the keychain tool for as much as possible Steve.  One of the great things about a challenge like this is to pick out the shortcomings as much as the positives.  Use another tool, but just post why you had to.
I agree completely.  There's definitely some limitations here!

There would be one side-advantage to using something like a Seber tool.  You could apply for the Bladeless challenge badge if you wanted one.  Best wishes.  G

I hope to join as well. I'm on the lookout for a good used plier based key chain tool, and I hope to be able to secure one before the challenge starts. I'll let you know, if I do.

Get the original LKL model. I had one of the later cheap China-made examples as a kid, and it was terrible--everything didn't work-from soft, overly polished drivers, to a wire cutter that dinged if you cut anything with it. The original US-built models by LKL Innnovations were made from some type of tool steel, have great perfectly-machined drivers , tough cutters, and tough pliers. Apparently, the jaw design also seems to work like Snap-On's Flank Drive--grips nuts and bolts without rounding.

I’ve always thought the Dime was a great little tool and was rather underrated and unappreciated

It’d be cool to carry it on my keychain for 30 days in place of the usual Rambler if there was a Dime badge, if not specifically Dime then be fun to mix it up

Anyway #9 reporting for duty :salute:

Yeah, I started the Green EDC challenge and set it for May, having completely forgotten about this one.
I could do both if I borrow my brother's green Dime. Mine is red.
Or maybe go small in August?

It truly makes little difference to me.
Just considering my advance age, next day availability is more uncertain.

Besides I have not established daily reminders for the challenge  on my REMINDRRS YET🥺

I'm more than okay with moving it to August. Things in Farmer X Land will be much saner by then.
