Any thoughts on the new LSTs (and a couple questions about the old ones.

I assume most of you have seen the new LSTs.

Any thoughts? I feel like calling it the LST Ultra is an interesting choice, since we already have the Ultralight. Like the new colors (interesting, but not garish). Leaning towards picking one up whenever they drop.

I also had a question about the "regular" LSTs. I'm seeing mixed reports about them being made in the USA. Is this a case of assembled in the USA, 99% of the parts made elsewhere? Is there a timeframe to be on the lookout for for USA vs overseas? I also see the US-1, which looks like it's basically just an LST with an extra cutout. Any thoughts on those?

I don't have any special insight into Gerber's operations.  I do have an old LST type.  They were hot stuff in the day.  Nice light pocket carries.  Didn't cost too much.  Not very novel today.  The same basic formula has been repeated and/or modified dozens of times.  Best wishes.  G

Baltic Haze and burnt orange are great colors. I can't say I'm a fan of the pocket clip. As for the origins of their components...they don't seem to be Berry Amendment compliant. So I'd suspect that at least a few bits and pieces are sourced from overseas.
