My wife's grandpa has been in the hospital and passed away Friday night so I'm running behind a little.

My condolences.

Day 12
Leatherman in the pocket instead of a SAK todaay.  The Free T4 isn’t my favorite, but I do appreciate the magnetic opening on days when the arthritis is acting up.

Is that orange Micarta?

Eyes still dilated, everything is a blur
Hope you're recovered by now and nothing untoward was detected!

That's an interesting little knife. Does the cutout in the handle present a hot spot?

Leatherman in the pocket instead of a SAK todaay.
I thought about getting a Free T4. Maybe one day I will.

More good stuff today, y'awl!

Day 12

Something a little different for today: the backlit display of my CCrane CC Radio 2-E. It has a noticeable yellow cast (especially when the brightness is cranked all the way up), but green is the dominant color.

Surgery scheduling to be finalized tomorrow!

Left eye to be done first. Then two weeks later the Right.

My condition came one in the past few months.
Kept thinking my glasses were smudged or just dirty.   And that my eyes had changed requiring a new prescription.

They took pictures three weeks ago. And again to day. The cataract surface area increased about 10% in left and 5% in right Lens.

It has been frustrating.

It hit home back when LM released new colors for the SIGNAL.  When I looked them up, I said what the heck was LM’s marketing group thinking posting blurt pictures.

It was my eyes, damn it!
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

I'm glad they're fixing you up buddy!  There's nothing worse than not being able to see clearly.  Everyone in my Dad's family went through cataracts and they said the same thing.  It kind of slips up on you slowly. Keep us posted!

Same thing happened with Mom.  It annoyed the hey out of her.  Good luck with the surgery.

Used the Spartan Lite to cut some fresh rosemary for some grilled rosemary potatoes.

Day 13

I modded my t-handle pen driver. It has three bit slots, but they are designed for double-ended, ball-bearing bits, so regular bits would not stay in and simply fall out.
So, I took two collars from an L-wrench, and added them to the pen driver. Now it can hold regular bits in two slots. Very pleased with how it turned out.
I had to sharpen a center-punch for this, and also pictured are two bit extensions with the same modification.

Yes, I know 😳. A 110 peeling a Halo is a tad excessive!

But, it got the job done😁

Talking about this knife in the other thread, so here's my Ruike. I'd agree that the scissors are iffy, but otherwise pretty good.
