No, this never came out of the factory :)

I want to make some micarta scales for this Ranger and will need some moulds to match the inside shape of the scales.
I modeled the original scales in Fusion 3D, this is just a test print to check the fit. Certainly a different look in white.

Now that looks very good in WHITE!  Could take to a wedding and make the bride envious 😉

Micarta will be amazing…
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

I hope so, I'll post some updates when it's finished. Could be a while though, have to buy the epoxy and it will probably take a few tries to get it right.

It looks pretty good with white scales...but Micarta will take it to the next level!

I'm finally picking up the project again, but before I start pouring the resin: what do you think about how this will look with micarta scales?
Current plan is to use some sage-green canvas.
(This is just an artist impression).

Thanks, Bart

Shucks! I will chime in on this question.

First, I am
A big fan of MICARTA regardless of the color😀😎🏆

Green is a firm color choice and it ages usually toward a brownish tint.

A color not done frequently, and I think would be awesome on a larger frame is a BLUE, maybe a ROYAL or NAVY blue.

I have always admired the Skipper and ? 1st Mate series by SAK.  JUST KNOWING THE MICARTA will provide better grip surface.

Regardless look forward to your final result or even the process.
👍
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!
