I haven't carried my Bond in a long time, so I'll join you guys today    It's like an old school Leatherman with a modern pocket clip.  I need to carry it more often  :tu:

It is more like a MODERNIZED PST!

I like the non locking tools easy deploy and release. Plus my bit adapter fits the Phillips increasing functionality using a TORX BIT or any of the flat bits or 1/4” bits in reach.

I just have never warmed up to bit adapter used on the WAVE, or believe it or not the SIGNAL or the SKELETOOL, but if there I will use them.

I gotta ask: do the two handle halves have different finishes? Regardless, fantastic photos! :tu:

Good eye!
This arrived last week Tuesday, a warranty replacement.

It is a 2nd gen with the reverse style blade.

Handles are slightly different, the blade side is 0924 and file side 0125.

That makes some sense.  When the assemblers pick a handle shell out of a hamper or whatever, each part might not have been finished on the buffer by the same person.  I will look at mine and see what the dates are.  Best wishes.  G

Update:  Blade side handle 11-24.  Other is 09-24.  They seem to match on this one.  G

I have started getting ads for videos or photos or whatever for "Nasty girl on the beach."  The last one showed a gal who looks like she just came out of the water.  How nasty could she be?  Maybe she has some sand on her toesies.
Also after I mentioned making the world's first Casio pocket watch, I have been bombarded with Casio ads.  I think Casio is trying to lure me into doing design work for them.  For a while I used to get Richard Mille watch ads.  The watches looked okay.  Thought I might see if Walmart carries them.  I might buy a couple of them if the bands are big enough to fit my wrist.
Best wishes.  G

That can happen!

I usually apply a heavy layer of BLUE or BLACK
SHARPIE INK to both sides of the tool, working it into the imprint.  Allow to dry a couple hours or more.

Then with a paper towel I lightly dampen the towel and gently moisten the ink on one handle, do not soak. Then return with a dry paper towel and rub firmly until the surface ink rubs away, rotating my paper towel. Do not rub to firmly? You will extract the ink from the imprint.

When satisfied repeat on other side.  If I get the first side to damp moisture will settle in the imprint and it will suck off the ink when you wipe.   If still comes off the ink did not dry.    A second cycle can be required.

I have not had favorable results with RED or GREEN.  OR WITH YELLOW ON BO models.
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

I think I waited maybe 15 seconds before wiping it.  Then I decided to take it off and rubbed hard.  Stage three was putting some spit on a paper towel and wiping again.  This much was left after all that.
The blade tension is decent now.  The tools are accessible without breaking a nail.  The plier deployment and folding is loosening up a little.  I take it out now and then and open and close things.  I like the light weight and tool selection.

Some very handsome turkeys.

Have you ever taken one and processed for a meal?

When I grew up in SW Michigan wild turkeys were not natural game.  In the last 15 or 18 years they became common.
Even in my area in Fort Wayne, very common.  In winter 40 or 50 will convene for survival eating missed corn or beans harvested and then disappear at night into woods.  I know they are savy and are not easy prey of Coyotes, but Fox are cunning enough to single one out.

There were about ten of them outside but too spread out to get them all in one photo.  These things were all introduced by the NWTF a couple of decades ago.  There is no season to legally take a turkey this time of year, so processing one for Thanksgiving isn't possible.  I might add these things have no fat on them and are tough as a boot.  I had a turkey breast from a grocery last year.  It supplied all the turkey I wanted.  I used to cook a young turkey for Thanksgiving every year, but it is too much trouble to just feed one person.
I will be giving a birthday party for myself this week.  There will probably be about two dozen guests here.  Eight or ten turkeys, a half dozen deer, some raccoons and maybe a possum or two.  I might cook a big pot of beans and make some biscuits.
Years ago, some of the church ladies decided to make a birthday cake for one of the male members.  Mr. A. A. Lee was the recipient of the pastry.  They made a beautiful two layers cake complete with decorative frosting.  The sticker was the cake layers were cornbread cooked in round cake pans.  When they cut him a nice big slice for him to eat, he learned what they had done to him.   This man wasn't a jolly person.  Worked hard.  I wasn't there when they pulled this stunt.
Best wishes.  G

I had two gatherings with family this ast weekend. Friday and Saturday. Saturday was with youngest son and family because he was working the 31st at fire station.

I four kiddos, two are firefighters, one girl a RN and youngest girl is an accountant.

Have a great birthday gathering this week!

No biscuits today and also no snow.  Temps are just at freezing, but the wind would strip paint off a barn.  I am cooking a pot of beans.  I had to clear a dead tree out of my driveway yestiddy before I could go to W-Mart.  After all this wind I will need to take a walk later and see if anything else is down today.
I used to be able to get locally made sausage fresh.  The stores sold a lot of it.  It made the best sausage gravy.  When I first started making gravy years ago, I called it Dog Gravy.  The dog was the only thing that would eat it.  Best wishes.  Gary

I took a pair of pliers and tried to loosen the screws so it would open easier.  The screws would turn, but actually both the male and shemale parts of the screws turned together.  Probably has a sealant.  I quit trying to turn them.  Best wishes.  G

I do believe they use a version of Locktite BLUE.

Best option to loosen is with the LM wrench’s which fit the knurled screw heads perfectly and apply heat to the screw. A heavy duty soldering iron should help. But then I have not done that yet with any of my LM tools.
