If it measures 84mm in length close and has the pen blade it can be a TOURIST.

It's an Elinox (Victorinox Economy).  They got a number only in 1985 Elinox catalog.  Came with or without keyring.  No scale tools.  Best wishes.  G

Day 30:

This is my oldest Spartan, even though it was probably made in the 1986-1991 timeframe, but a previous owner, a probable steel termite, left it with some stories to tell, so I'll give it another, more honourable one:
It will be the Spartan to finish the Challenge in my pocket.
Besides, I like it a lot!

SILVERtech has been slipped into the slip for today’s carry!

I just discovered, or aptly observed is my stable of SPARTANS are missing a few.
The WALNUT is upstairs as I forgot to empty awl pockets before going up to change after meeting.

The TOURIST must be in a jacket pocket (I hope!)

The Yellow SPARTAN is in the kitchen after the evening pocket dump.

Sapphire fell on the floor under the edge of recliner in FR!

So need to gather up these strays…

Life would be so easy with just ONE!
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

I like pocket knives with a history.
Either a lot of stories with me (as my Swisschamp and the black Spartan have), or come to me with stories of their own, that I honour and try to add to.
This is one of them. Came to me as a destitute, dirty old knife bought in a lot from a flea market trader by a friend of mine. I cleaned it, sharpened, put it into my pocket, and it looks happy now!
In need of a name, though.

I stand corrected:
Looking at the tang stamp (VSSR/OS, Large V, cross touches the crossbow), non-fluted corkscrew, and shape of the can opener, bottle opener with the 90º stop, I believe that, if this knife did not make some trip to Victorinox's maintenance shop, it may be a 1991-1992 model. Still less old than I thought!
