Edited to add: there is a Wave+ for $75, with "Seller Notes: The tip of one of the jaws is broken, otherwise it’s good as new."
ST300 for $80; Rebar for $50. Stuff like that.Edited to add: there is a Wave+ for $75, with "Seller Notes: The tip of one of the jaws is broken, otherwise it’s good as new."
I just bought my 12-year old daughter a pink/cranberry Bond for Christmas, and a Micra in colors to match the Bond. My 2 older daughters received colored Leatherman Juice models years ago. Since those models are now retired, I very much appreciate entry-level models that are available in colors that appeal to a variety of users.
I saw some pretty good deals on it, sadly seems like it won't be in Canada for a whileHonestly my bigger concern is if they start asking for Proof of Purchase with warranty claims, because it seems like their wording implies that warranties won't be valid without proof of purchase or unless you purchase from Leatherman Exchange
But would you have bought those items for your daughters if the only "color" was polished 420 stainless?
Yes, I would have bought Leatherman tools as gifts for my wife and 3 daughters even if polished stainless was the only "color" available, because the primary purpose is to make sure they have a useful tool available for minor emergency use. However, they would not have been nearly as excited about the gift of a "tool" without the adornment of color. My two sons, on the other hand, use and enjoy their Leatherman Wave tools without the splash of color. I guess to sum up, I agree with the points made by Rich_SD and Powernoodle that marketing strategies which keep Leatherman successful as a company are beneficial to us as practical users whether or not we ourselves purchase or make use of those items we percieve as "concessions to fashion" so to speak, since these items serve to expand the customer and user base of a company that all of us wish to see continue to succeed.
This is the link I got in my email LM Exchange
The seller has two choices how to collect money from the buyer: 1. Cash - Leatherman keeps 20% 2. Leatherman Store Credit - the seller has to buy a Leatherman
It says that a seller earns store credit. If the seller can get cash in hand, Leatherman does not make it obvious how to do that."EARNGet up to a 100% store credit payout when you sell."
