I read that last year Meta (the company that owns Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp and all of your data) made approximately $3.5 billion dollars last year off of scam accounts alone.

Because of this, I am going to look into how we can get some of those scammers here.  I know we are not as big as Meta, but I feel like MTO would benefit from a budget increase of a mere few hundred thousand to a million dollars each year.

As we have been an honorable community for years, where members can trust each other, I felt it important to let you know that I am in the process of signing deals with Global Wealth Extractors LLC, The (Totally Real) IRS Refund Department, Prince Richardo of Nigeria and the International Bank of Your Money.

Well, we have been around a lot longer than FB and they have a lot more money, so maybe they are on to something.

No scammer has gotten fat off MTO members in the 19 years we have been operating, and I think we are all pretty proud of that.

I have to admit that more money for MTo would be a good thing, yet I'm grateful to the moderating team for spammer/scammer control. I had some other ideas about funneling more money into the coffers, but I won't share them, as it would flagrantly violate the no politics rule.
