Actually it wasn't that long ago...

Congratulations on being the gabbiest guy here Mike- the place just wouldn't be the same without you, that's for sure. In the time you've been here, and from the time we made you a moderator you've really managed to leave your mark, and I think that's great. I'm embarrassed to say that before you came here I never really knew you all that well- you were just another SOSAK member out of literally thousands that I don't know very well. When you signed up here in the beginning I was pleased to see you had made the leap over, but again, you were just another member who'd checked the place out. Since then you really made yourself known here, and I'm glad that you did, because I really don't know what this place would have turned out like if you didn't. Dunc is right- you really are a part of this place, and while others may want to poke fun at you for making thousands of off topic posts, that's as much a part of what makes a forum great as the informative posts do. No one would do more than just visit if the place didn't have a personality which is developed by all the posts made by the individual members- and your post count proves the influence you have had here.

I really don't want to get all mushy (possibly too late for that!) but I do want you to know that your contributions are appreciated, more than I could ever convey. Congratulations Mike on giving everyone here 20,000+ reasons to keep coming back!
