There have been several threads about those British military knives.  One within a couple of weeks.  Interesting old knives.  Might want to read up on what the members say about them.  Best wishes.  G

Oh thank you ! I didn't even knew it was a british knife  :hatsoff:

I just liked the design, and the fact it seems to be an old knife :)

Common sailor's knife design from the first half of the 20th century. I have a similar one from (probably) Italy (marked Coricama), and a more modern repo by Baladeo (probably Chinese). That'd be a fine carry on the Hello, Sailor! challenge this summer.

Very interesting  :tu:

So maybe british, italian, or chinese. Sailor's knife, so maybe it's not a flat screwdriver, but something to work on the fishes

And maybe it's not a can opener at all :D

Sorry, I didn't read the whole post before responding. Tools are:

1. Sheepsfoot braid. Cuts ropes, less likely to stab you when the deck is rolling.

2. The scariest can opener known to man.

3. Marlin spike (undoing knots, repairing ropes, some can be used as "keys" on certain hardware ("shackles") on the ship to secure the rope.

4. You are correct that the piece on the frame is a large screwdriver.
