WTS: Leatherman sideclip (polished SS)

This is the older version before the beadblast came out. It is slightly used.

Just a point of detail though colubrid - the polished one is the later version - the bead blast was the original. There do seem to be a lot less polished ones around though.

Whoever buys this will enjoy teasing me with it anyway, so you're bound to get a buyer

Really, I always thought that the later versions were beadblast. Your'e right about not many of these polished ones being around.

To help you sell it - have a look inside the handles and you should see some date codes (probably 4 being a Sideclip), I'm guessing that it wa smade in 2002 or later, as the pliers have "TOOL" stamped on them. You'll see on the bead blast version that the dates are older, and there's a good chance that the pliers will say "USA".

it says 0803 on the inside. So I guess that means it was manufactured in August 2003

You got it

They went out of production in (I think) 2004, so yours is one of the last few! That might explain why it's in such good condition.

I don't suppose you'd want to trade it for anything would you?

I am always interested in sharp things. Recnetly I have been gaga over spydercos and I want trade towards Strider SNG. I am tapped out on all the mutitools I can handle for now.

Lol. After the group buy we did on the old style a few weeks ago, you'll get much more interest for your polished one I reckon, as I say, they seem to be much harder to come by.

I have an nib native in S30V plain edge and a new never been used but no box endura in ZDP189, serrated edge and green foilage handles. any interest in either? the Endura is of equal value.

Yeah i just sold a native and I can't stand serrated edges. Wish the zdp189 was a PE Delica.
