My new Grohmann number 4!

Ok after a bit of hassel I've finally got my Grohnnie 4

These are only initial ramblings, but so far I can tell you it's bloody perfect

. The fit and finish are excellent, and the Water Buffelo scales could almost be taken for plastic given the perfect, almost mirror polish on them

But much more impressive than that are the ergonomics, which with absolutely no word of a lie, are faultless

This is THE finest handling knife I have ever had the privilege of handling, truly the weight, heft and balance could have been hand crafted for my physiology, so perfect is the fit

The size and shape of the blade feel totally instinctive in use, in fact it's like using one of your fingers, albeit a wee bit sharper

This is going to be a faithful friend and no mistake

, I can't wait for a chance to really use it

I'll report back when I've had it and used it in anger

As for the steel, it's carbon

My rough rule of thumb is fixed blades should be carbon, and MT's and Folders should be TRUE stainless

Nice, I heard their carbon steel is good. However I know their stainless is pretty bad, 440Aish at best.

Well according to the folks I bought mine from, the factory is currently working flat out on fulfilling a contract for the Canadian Military, so if you can't find someone with them in stock, you may have a bit if a wait on your hands $:-\$
