The handles do flex quite a bit. :salute: But I've never seen a photograph of a bent one. :)

These are a couple beat up SAK's that I got on an eBay lot.
I guess some people are rougher than others with their knives.

Agreed.  That's one tool that I suspect had a very hard, and possibly short, life. :(

There is some serious damage going on.  I have to admit I ask a lot from my MTs but even then I can't imagine the force needed to break tools like in these recent pics.

That large driver can't handle too much stress depending on how well it was heat treated. Using it as an ice-pic is a quick way to break it for sure. I suppose it could also break using it as a screwdriver though under the right circumstances...

Yeah, I was definitely not using it properly, and I'm sure being jabbed repeatedly into ice/snow didn't help, especially when trying to use it for prying right after

Oh I deserve a bit of that for how I was using it ;)  I haven't heard back from LM yet, and they received it a week ago, so I hope that's not a bad thing.  I expected they would email me by now either to ask for more info on how it was broken, or something of an update by now.  I guess if I don't hear anything within another week, I'll have to contact them.

Fingers crossed you'll receive a nice new one in your mailbox, maybe even with a poem.

We read you thread on MTO,
Using it as an ice pick, that's a no go.
Use it as it's meant to be,
And years of service, you will see.

A mate finally broke his budget multitool.

So I swapped it for this one a couple pages back...

This guy arrived broken, so.....

.....I found him a donor and hooked him up.

...and will build him a custom Core or Surge for his birthday next month.

I didn't send it back to them with the PST II so now I have a spare file.

Dang, that sucks. :( I can remember the time as a lad when I picked up one of my dad's files and tried to pry something with it. It snapped almost immediately, startling me. I don't recall what my punishment was, or what happened after that, but 40 years later I still recall that SNAP! like it was yesterday. I don't pry with files no more. :P

Solving problems you didn't know you had in the most obscure way possible

"And now, it's time to hand this over to our tame race axe driver. Some say, he can live in the forest for six months at a time without food, and he knows of a secret tribe of only women where he is their God. All we know is, he's call the Styx!" - TazzieRob

A classic case of 'Donald Ducked'

I was going to ask/message the Ebay seller & ask 'WTF happened mate?' , but never got around to it.

$11 bucks ani't much of a return but I am glad they put it 'out their'  :D :D.
I wonder if the warranty would of been honoured   :D.
There is some unnatural force involved there me thinks  :P :D.
