For the Canadian guys.....
Walmart has started to clear out Leatherman Surge Multitool.
At my local walmart its the only Leatherman model they have left, I'm thinking of getting one...$35 bucks off as of now, but not sure if i'm going to wait and see if the reduce the price even more like they did with the wave...or grab it now    :gimme:

I think that Wal-mart is going to stop carrying the Surge everywhere because it is gone in our local WallyWorlds as well :( I am gonna check another 1 and see if they have any left there ;)
Merit Badges Post your pocket dump photos then challenge two more members who must post their pocket dump photos within 24hrs for you to get the badge. In this challenge,  carry one(1) Pliers-based or Non-pliers multitool that we always have prejudice against, hate or even fear and post a picture everyday for 30 days Using EDC items randomly selected with a poker hand, post a photo of your EDC or a component of the EDC that got used during the course of the day for 4 weeks (or 30 consecutive days) In the spirit of the Batman utility belt. A 30 day challenge were you have to have at least 2 things clipped to your belt (preferably more). Start a thread and post a picture of your clipped gear each day for 30 days. Participate  in a Challenge thread and post a photo of a Leatherman Skeletool for thirty (30) consecutive days. Only for the 14th year Anniversary Challenge. Post a photo of any gear for thirty (30) consecutive days during the MTo anniversary month. You have one of your pictures in the 2020 calendar or in top three of the calendar poll in any month of the given year. Participate  in a Challenge thread and post a photo of a LM Pocket Survival Tool for thirty (30) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo of the multitool for thirty (30) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo of the LM Crunch  Multitool for fifteen (15) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo of the keychain for thirty (30) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo of the multitool for thirty (30) consecutive days. You have one of your pictures in the 2017 calendar or in top three of the calendar poll in any month of the given year. You have one of your pictures in the 2018 calendar or in top three of the calendar poll in any month of the given year. You have one of your pictures in the 2019 calendar or in top three of the calendar poll in any month of the given year. Start a new thread and post a photo of the multitool for thirty (30) consecutive days.

What province are you in ToolingAround?

Sounds great, but I have pretty much given up on the Walmarts in Toronto. I am not sure if you can even buy an MT at full price at our Walmarts!  :D

Walmart in south end Barrie has a lot of surge multitools on sale and the Walmart in north end Barrie even still has some $30.00 Cores if your interested in those.. :cheers:

The Surge is gone from the one nearest me,and in it's place WalMart is selling the Skeletool.I get the impression that WalMart is working on gradually phasing out selling sharp and shiny things.Over the past 4 years my nearest  Wally has stopped selling SOG's,reduced the number and types of SAKs and other folders as well as Leatherman and Gerber.

the only Leathemans i see are the wave, skeletool, and I think the core...

but they are packed with made in china gerbers...
