Just so you are aware, Emerson use a chisel grind on their folders.  This is not necessarily a problem and for some people it is a bonus, but it is not my first choice in grind.

And just to comment on what LM123 said, I don't see them as a PITA to sharpen at all.  A good sharpener such as a Sharpmaker will make easy work of giving you a superb edge.
I'm back!!

having looked into them a little bit more I am a little concerned that the Chisel grind might not be for me.  Also, I can't quite figure out what and the reason is that they grind the edge the way they do.  They are ground differently on either side.  One side is showing a different grind/angle than the other side?  I just was watching someone's review on youtube.  Flipping the blade over showed a difference he pointed it out.

They say it gives stronger edge, but it also lower production cost. There is a "v" grind version of commander thou I think.

If you don't know already there's a shop close to you in BC. http://www.warriorsandwonders.com/ Price is higher than u.s. shops thou.

440C , 154CM , A2 , VG10 are superb steels . I'm happy with any of the afore mentioned . I have also owned BG42 an S30V , also did what they said on the tin . Customer satisfaction depends more on heat treat and proper edge geometry than numbers an letters .

My Gerber AR 3.0 has a 440 (I believe A) blade and it just doesn't compare with the 154CM on my Charge. I've been wanting a Mini Grip for awhile but can't decide if i want the 154CM or try the new D2. Of course i have time till the ol tax rebate comes in.  :mail: leads to  :tool:

I own 1 knife with "super steel", a Spydie with VG-10, and I have no trouble at all sharpening it. I don't know about other super steels but I can highly recommend that one.

I haven't ever had sharpening issues either , just a matter of having the right tools for the job . With good steel you just do it less often !
