Excellent work Exeter  :tu:

It was not my idea originally.
I think it was a post from Douglas somewhere where I heart about it first.
But I couldn't find a tutorial so I made one  :salute:

Then credit where credit's due: great idea from Douglas!  :salute:

Here it is  :salute:
When I wanted to do this I couldn't find any tutorial that explains how to disengage the spring to get to it. This is how I managed to do it then...

...and the other day your post reminded me of Matt's scissor modding thread from earlier and I took to my dremel as well, grinded a hair off of the tab and now it opens nice and wide, feels more capable. Thanks for the reminder and to Matt for the original idea!  :hatsoff:

You're very welcome Exeter. Glad you made that decision. It is a great mod, well worth doing. I am a novice in using the dremel but Matt's tutorial is clear and easy to follow which helped me tremendously. :salute:

Nice thing about the Spirit is how well it holds up over time.  Mine came to me used and I've used it a lot.  It has scratches and wear but it looks pretty darn good regardless.  Its hard to capture since the tool is so shiny.  GO ahead and put them to use  :pok: you'd be hard pressed to really bang them up.

Welcome to MTO 人 罪

I've had a look at the scissors before and thought the 91mm SAK scissors might fit into the Vic. Spirit without having them to shorten.
Nice job  :like:

Nice modification, thank you. Can you let us know the size of the pivots and where you sourced them?
很好的修改,谢谢。 您能告诉我们枢轴的大小以及您从哪里获取它们吗? (google translate)

Just realized after almost a year of owning mine that one side of the jaws is flat where the teeth are on the upper part. Pretty surprised they made it out of qc. Think they'll fix it for me?

Made a slight mod to mine. The inside edge of the saw’s spine would dig into my cuticle when opening the blade. Took my whet stone and knocked the edge off a bit. Problem solved  :tu:

Yes they will - contact your local dealer or wherever you bought it and they may do a straight swap.

The only way I'd buy another Swisstool Spirit is if they make one in red alox. And Orange. And green. And purple. And pink. And aquamarine. And ivory white. And eggshell blue. And azure. And mint green. And copper. And Paynes grey. And burgundy... etc...
