So from the Logic its dosnt make much sense, the Spirits got every Tool and more the Huntsman got, , from an SAK Fan Perpespictive, its make sense as i have now also this nice Blue Huntsman whit me and the awesome Swisstool ..

An Different Idea where to take the Pioneer X Alox and the Minichamp whit me, this is a much nicer SAK as the Huntsman Plastic Bomber ..
Your SAK is only fully yours, when it bites you, or you opend a Trink of your joice whit it
SAKs i have: Huntsman Light (Red Transparent), Workchamp (Black), Wenger EvoGrip S557 (Red), Swisschamp XLT (Red Transparent).. Swisschamp (Blue Transparent) Cybertool L (Blue Celidor (custom scales) , Huntsman (Black Celidor) , Victorinox EvoGrip S557 (Red, but sadly lost in my house somewhere) Victorinox Delemont S17 and S57 ..  , waiting for: Swiza D09 Blue

That is one question you must sort out for your own!

The Huntsman lacks a pliers combo.

But you said you carry the bit kit in and EDC pouch.

I during the summer months will carry my SPIRIT, or REBAR or SIGNAL in my CrossBody bag.   A SPARTAN in the pocket.

Yet, I always try my best to have a Plier kit within reach.

There is no wrong or correct way!

:iagree: no right or wrong way matzesu.  I typically carry a Spirit XC with the serrated blade something with a plain edge is helpful. An alox Solo or a Waiter is a great combo without any overlap.  Or go big with the non Alox Solo that has the 108 or 111mm blade.  If you can find it the Alox 2 with the hawkbill blade is also a good add to the spirit.

Well i think i go now for Spirit X, ROXON Flex Companion whit Scraper, Hook Blade (Belt Cutter), Comp, and Ruler, and my Minichamp whit the Blue Scales and booth Scale Tools .. ,

The Spirit is an SAK on his own, even whit Korkscrew .. , the only stuff its dosnt have are the Scale Tools ..

I would only carry the Spirit if it has scale tools. A ruler would be nice. I’ve seen some mods of snap on adds for the swisstool to hold scale tools and laser etched ruler on the saw.  My brother in law has a laser and I’ve always wanted to give it a shot.

We had some water coming from beneath the kick back under the sink. Nothing is leaking so now we think a kid spilled some water and it just looked like a leak.  That meant I had to pull off the kickback and then reattach.  Out comes the hammer and Spirit.  I also got to use my new Olight pen with the pencil nub to mark holes to see them better. The graphite doesn’t reflect light as well as a carpenters pencil so didn’t really help marking the holes.

As this Pocket Carry Clip for my Pioneer X Alox is not that secure, i did decide to carry only the SpiritX and the Roxon Companion, they have all the same Toolset, and the Blade on the Spirit is even Lockable ..
This new Knifelaw in Germany dosnt allowed any knife in Weapon Prohibition Zones or Trainstations anyway, so its dosnt matter if its Locket or Not, only for my own Working Security because Victorinox Blades are quite sharp despite the Knifes are the most friendly Knifes you can get..

Im Still unshure which SAK i would carry as Companion to my Spirit:
- Swisschamp (in Belt Holster)
- "Delemont" S19
- Huntsman
- Workshamp XL
- Pionerr X Alox
- "Delemont" S57

Out of Competition are the Cybertool L as its dosnt make much sense because i allready have an 1/4 inch Bitdriver from the Swisstool, and the Swisschamp XLT ..

I would use the Blade from the Swisstool ..

And i have still the issue that the Tools in the Spirit some times dont go out that easy..

The SPIRIT does check off many carry needs by its tool compliment.

For me a Corkscrew is a useful implement.

So a SPARTAN or CLIMBER will pair well depending on attire. A two layer is not noticeable in the pocket as much as a three layer. 😉

Just my thought

Well as the Compannion would need an Case Swap, i did just order me an Climber ^^ , i will carry it along whit the Swisstool, and the Minichamp Alox then .., will use it mostly for the Scizzors and the Scaletools, maybe even the Blade and the Camping Tools ..  its gets the Blue Hanger and the Blue Scale Tools ^^

To second some of your earlier answers I personally pair my spirit with a 58mm rambler but as you mentioned some 91mm I would go with a serrated Spartan (weekender I think it's called) you get a quick tool right out of your pocket but with a Swisstool as a bigger brother for backup

I did receive this morning the Climber, so this is the same amount of layers like the Pioneer X Alox, but whit Corcscrew, Hook, Penblade and Scale Tools

I did allready changed the Scale Tools to my Color Matching Ones, and gave it the needle as the hole was there.. , these scales are looking nice when they are new..
oh and unlike the Alox Pioneer you can open the Scizzors whitout folding out the Can Opener..
so my full kit now

I've found a good combo to be an Alox Bantam in my wallet and a Spirit riding along in my work bag or with me in the car or with me on the bike.
I knew my wife was a keeper when she transitioned from calling it a knife thingy to a multi-tool.

That’s a great combo.  Farmer X’s love of the Bantam has always made me think about grabbing one but for whatever reason haven’t.

Im still got the issue that sometimes the Tools are Nailbreaking Stuck in the SpiritX, which is quite strange.. sometimes after i did fold them out a few times they are running again fine ..

But this issue might be an generall Bug on Swisstools: My old OG Swisstool had this also .. : after it got fold out and in a few times, using the Bottle Opener of an SAK, or the Nailfile of the Minichamp, its did run fine again ..

Im also tinking of putting the Swisstool and its Bitset in my Backpack when i dont need it that often, only carrying the Climber, the Minichamp and the Roxon Flex Companion whit the Tools i use often, and when i need the Multitool, i will take it to my Belt ..

Carrying an Small SAK in Combination whit the Spirit is also not the best solution, i wonder if the Spirits can also get used as an SAK itself: Its basically got all the Tools you got on an SAK, Knife, Skizzors, Can and Bottle Opener, and even an Korkscrew i did use one time..  might be if it gets used a few more time it should not stuck ..

I was this weekend also planing on use it as an Rucksack Tool: So only the SAK in my Pocket, and the Spirit if i need it, but then again: When i need the big Plier i more likely want it clipped in to my Pockets ^^

So now in my Pockets: Spirit X whit Bitdriver, and Minichamp for the Nailcleaning Tool and the Toothpick and Tweezers..

When I carry a Spirit, I carry only it.  It has all the tools except the mag glass.  I think it's designed as a stand alone.

So I've got bad news.. I am no longer a member of the Spirit club. I have seemed to misplaced it somewhere and can't find it for the life of me.  >:( I'm looking at other options MT wise for it's replacement.

That news is the worst news you can deliver!

I feel your pain so strongly, I just checked my carry bag to make certain my Spirit MxBS is where it is supposed to be to be!!!

The Spirit is a work of art, misplacing it is like a painter taking the Mona Lisa down to paint the wall, and then go to hang it back in place and you can not locate it.

It was nice to look at more often than not. I am sad that the version I had (butter blade) was discontinued a few years ago.
