My GB Mini was literally shaving sharp, straight out of the mailing packet!

I'd heard the phrase "Shaving Sharp", and wanted to see it it was true, it was. I expect the Wildlife will be the same.

I understand Neil. But it goes further because now I`m bidding on a 42" crosscut saw. Didn`t bid much so proably won`t win it.    :D

Another good video.  It even has a multi (Supertool I think) at around 4:15.

An Ax to Grind - Part 1

Though this is the one that looks at axes a bit.

An Ax to Grind - Part 2

interesting to see all the trail tools I think.

I agree on the ST Gareth :tu: Nice old style LM pouch visible later in the video as well.

Pics if you win David :D  Don't think I've ever seen any decent big saws at car boots.  Not a huge amount of logging going on around my way; I think we got through most of our woodland a few hundred years back :)

It could be worse Mike. I'm now looking at that broad axe head that Ben gave me and wondering how tricky it'd be to bring it back into use   I can't see me ever using it in reality so it had best stay sat on the top shelf scaring visitors :P

What axe are you thinking of?

Probably a felling axe of some description, as I'm pretty well covered in all other areas :)

I still think Ben's old axe head would make a brilliant door wedge :D

Neil I won it. so pics will be forth coming after it arrives. I really don't know much about saws so guess I`ll be on a steep learning curve. I don't really need one just wanted to have one to play with.     :)

I've got a few axes, mauls, hatchets etc ... and I've got to echo previous posters. The only ones which would actually cut anything were the two Granny B's. I rely on all these tools quite a lot for firewood processing when spending time at the boat, and I would be quite happy to lend any of them to the mates at the boatyard except the Granny B's.

I don't know if I'm more scared of the damage they could to to the tools, or the damage the tools could do to them.

I also am not a fan of lending out my GB or Wetterlings axes. These things can be detrimental to someone who does not thoroughly know what they are doing with an axe. They are incredibly sharp and will cause great injury if misused. Some folks do not appreciate quality tools and will abuse fine axes and hatchets due to their ignorance.
