Withdrawn: Now get out of my toolbox...
on: March 10, 2009, 03:43:24 PM
I've been thinking of thinning out my "collection" for quite long, as I'm the kind of guy that sticks with whatever tool deems best and forgets about the rest. I recently compiled a list of what's for sale and was actually surprised to see what I had amassed in the last couple of years (a tiny portion of other people's stash, but too many for me nevertheless). So, up for grabs are:

* Vic executive 74mm (my first SAK but a dust/rust collector since long ago... needs some maintenance btw)
* Vic hunter ruby
* Vic champion plus (got this in a trade in the forums... nice SAK but utterly too big for my pockets)
* Wenger waiter ("IEEE P2P 2004" etched on the blade, a souvenir from a conference I had attended...)
* LM old wave
* LM skeletool (have to move this one out or it's bound to meet a dremel -- or be given away)
* LM UTA (great piece of equipment but never got to carry it, mainly due to its size)
* Buck X-Tract black (has a small crack in the plastic by the rivet)
* Gerber MP400 Sport (my favorite when all I had was this and a PST in the MT arena)
* Gerber MP700 (urban legend) T3 edition (one of the T3 plastic tabs needs a drop of superglue...)
* Useless (probably) chinese keychain plier-based mt with led light (mostly PoS, just mentioning it...)
* Small Stanley tripod light (not much of a light but a nice gizmo)
* Inova X5 flashlight
* Maglite solitaire black
* Maglite mini
* Civilian Lab Trekker LT in black, plus matching Gossamer Harness LT

Some are of sentimental value, but I figured out they'd better find their way into the hands of someone that will put them to good use than sit in a toolbox in the corner. None of these are BNIB and have all been users (more or less), but they all include their respective sheaths and, with high probability, also their original box and paperwork (although the boxes have been flatted out with time). I can post pictures if you want; ask and ye shall receive. I accept PayPal (don't know why people add that 3%... perhaps someone in the trade can illuminate me as this is the first time I'm doing this), but wire transfer will also (probably) do.

Cheers.

PS: @mods: sorry for these not being all tool items but I was too lazy (and busy) to split them up into several posts across the trade forums.

FYI for shipping costs to countries outside the EU and Balcans have a look at this. You should be looking at the bottom table (i.e. "ΤΕΛΗ ΕΞΩΤΕΡΙΚΟΥ - ΕΥΡΩΠΗ 2 και ΛΟΙΠΕΣ ΧΩΡΕΣ") -- the middle table is for EU and Balcan countries. The columns are (from left to right): weight, first-class, first-class signed, first-class express, first-class signed express, second-class, second-class signed, and the prices are in euros. Parcels up to 2kg can also be shipped as "letters". For insured shipping there is an extra charge of 2.60 euros, plus 0.50% of the declared value. The pricelist also mentions a 3 euros charge for "representation in customs", though I have no idea what that is. I'll also have to check with the local PO for the exact procedure with customs forms etc, as I've never sent anything outside the EU.

Cheers.

I was afraid one of you mods would ask this sooner or later... :D I'll look this stuff up and add some prices later, although that might be by tomorrow given my current workload. :-[

No worries- just easier to buy stuff if you know how much someone wants for it.  There's a few goodies there I'm trying real hard not to buy!  :D

I'm possibly interested in the Waiter, and maybe the champion plus.  You accepting any trades or strictly cash at this point.

All right... Prices (w/o shipping) plus a couple of updates:

* Vic executive 74mm: $15
* Vic huntsman ruby: $20
* Vic champion plus: $25
* Wenger waiter: $15
* LM old wave "maintenance kit" (i.e. plus nylon sheath with maglite mini holster, including the mag mini): $50
* LM skeletool: gone
* LM UTA: $20
* Buck Xtract: $20
* Gerber MP400 sport: $25
* Gerber MP700 T3: $60
* Inova X5: gone
* Civilian Lab Trekker LT plus gossamer harness: $55
* Kershaw blackout (well used, older model with 440A steel): $25

I've added no price for the really small ones (e.g. mag solitaire, stanley mini tripod etc) as I'll probably just throw them along with one of the above.
Now, I'm no expert collector/seller so if some of these prices seem over the top, shoot me a pm and we can bargain (I'm Greek; i like bargaining... :))

Concerning trades, I'm not after much this time of the year (although we all now how easy that can change). There are a few things I'd like to get, but they're rather small bits and pieces and some of them totally unrelated to tools and somewhat vague in my mind (e.g. in no significant order and off the top of my head: vic swisscard lite, vic gizmo with magnifier/compass/thermo/ruler, vic mini sharpening steel, spyderco sharpmaker, oxo stainless liquiseal, suunto advizor)

So after a long-winded debate, the trekker lt, champion and huntsman are spoken for (won't tell who's the lucky one, but he looks like this -->:police: from time to time :D).
