Would a Glock knife or a Fairbairn Sykes dagger work as a throwing knife?

The Glock really isn't all that well balanced for throwing, and the FS have really weak point's :(, so probably not mate :-\
Give in, buy several Farmer's!!!!!!

Get a Cold Steel True Flight Thrower- they are inexpensive and (almost!) indestructible.

What about if we find a high quality one, but it's from China or Pakistan? What do we do then?

I would ask that you take a picture of it next to a ruler and then I would have my cousin make me one. He makes some really nice knives.

H&B Forge makes an excellent thrower, and I would certainly vouch for it!

You are going to get a US manufacturer to copy a Chinese knife?   Seems like if you have the capability of making a knife, you should make your own.

I don't think your bud will be able to make this for the price of $28.00. I have the older style one they are extremely rugged.

Have you ever tried throwing icepicks ?
I have been throwing various kinds of knives and axes for many years, but i always advize people who want to learn this skill to begin with icepicks.
They are very cheap, can handle throws and misthrowing very well, have a perfect balance, and you can't cut yourself while throwing.

I don't measure steps or anything, i've adapted to what i call Zen throwing.
Targets up to 7 or 8 meters are doable, and i can place 3 icepicks together in one playingcard on about 4 to 5 meters distance.
(When i'm in good shape that is,  :D)
