Victorinox 108mm GAK between what years ?

anyone know between that years Victorinox manufactured the 108mm GAK ?

One more question: In what years they added the file on the saw ?

They started in '76 and were replaced by the 111mm GAK in '03/'04

No idea as to when the file/striker was added to the saw, sorry.

I don't know but I would think around the same time.  If you're running off the parts for a military contract it makes sense to do the civillian version in parallel.  A bit like we've seen more recently with the OH Trekker and 111mm GAK.

Yeah it makes sense.

One last request: anyone got Safari Hunter with serrated gutter ? can you take a picture of the knife with only the serrated gutter fully open and light background (gray or white)  (and can it be high-res)?
Some picture like this one but with only the serrated gutter and a little more from the top.

I've got an OD Safari Hunter that the seller said was from the 80's. I don't know if a SAK can be dated by the box colour? Mine is red.
