Are those available in North America?  I've never seen them before.

The watches have been on the Leatherman Australia website for more than two years.  They are the only country offering these leading me to think the local rep, Zen, commissioned them.  I saw one one Ebay a few weeks ago.  This is the first one I've seen for sale.

If anyone gets more info (price, where to buy, etc), it would be neat if they posted that.

Cheers - Joe

Have been seeing those for a while. Assumed they were a global thing.
Looks like Zen Imports might be commissioning them???

Hello All,

For those of you interested in a Leatherman with a watch, your wait is over.  The US organization is offering a Blast with a Dakota Watch Company carabiner watch with compass & led light.  This watch face says "Leatherman" and has the Leatherman logo  and on the back.  I'm going to try to post a pictuure.  If that doesn't work, perhaps someone will help me.

The only dealer who I've seen with these (and some other interesting Leatherman stuff) is the Leatherman Store of Tyler Tool.  Their web address is www.leathermanstore.com.  Look at the bottom of the page called "Classic Tools".

Best - Joe

Thanks

They are only in Australia.  Leatherman Australia is actually a contracted representative, not Leatherman themselves and as such they have the right to put the LM name and logo on whatever they like to promote stuff.  It's not really a Leatherman product, just something rebadged with the logo.

Since they are done by LM's Australian reps, they aren't available anywhere but Australia.

With some sleuthing, you could probably figure out who makes them, and get one at a 1/3 of the price of a Branded one.

I've never actually seen one, and the LM sellers in Oz don't make any particular effort to advertise or make people aware of them (A Leatherman ad appears in Sydney TV guides about once a fortnight, no mention of watches)

Maybe they got a trademark right from Leatherman for this??

They have the rights to use the name and logo on anything at all they want, as long as they only do it in their territory.

Maybe the Dakota Watch Company makes all of them? Lots of information about Dakota watches over at Watchuseek watch forums. Just do a search.

And of course, you can see lots of Dakota watches at their own web page. Dakota Watch Company

Hey Friends!

I found a leatherman watch sitting sad and forgotten in a rural store, on special because it has been there so long the battery is flat  ::)

Did anyone ever have any experience with these? I am looking for a cheapish watch to wear until my new Traser turns up. Any input before I have over the cash?
